A former financial analyst and economist, Byron began preparing reserve studies in 2008 and founded GeoReserves in 2016. He has prepared over 1,250 reserve studies in seven different states across the country, primarily focusing in Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. He has taught classes on reserve studies, economics, geographic information systems and other financial topics not just to community managers, but to various business leaders in Southern Nevada and Utah. He is actively involved with the Nevada chapter of Community Association Institute (CAI) and has helped revise the reserve study standards of practice for the Association of Professional Reserve Analysts (APRA).
Byron was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV and has a bachelor’s degree in Finance and master’s degree in Economics from UNLV. Having worked as a financial analyst for a major hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip, he has budgeted and forecasted revenues and expenses in the millions of dollars range. In addition, as an economist he worked on a wide range of projects including the economic impact of a new football stadium, market analysis for commercial real estate, tax analysis, litigation support and general economic forecasting.NV Permit #: RSS.072
